This patented formulation isn’t just a simple blend of psyllium and curcumin. The psyllium fiber contains numerous “pockets” that entrap curcumin, offering several key advantages namely for bowel regularity. The controlled release formulation ensures curcumin is slowly and consistently released over time. Additionally, the curcumin is protected from degradation by gastric acid, pancreatic enzymes and bile salts, allowing for higher bioavailability.

The gel-like matrix of psyllium delivers curcumin directly to the colon, where it is released at the optimal pH. This targeted delivery ensures that curcumin reaches the colon undegraded and in high concentration, unlike regular curcumin, which is degraded by the time this antioxidant rich nutrient reaches the colon.

Dose
Adults (18 years and over) – Take one serving (~3 g) per day 1 hour before meals, or as directed by a qualified health practitioner. Mix one serving thoroughly in 8 oz of water or juice. Effects observed 12-24 hours after first dose and may take 2-3 days. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products. Take during the day (not immediately prior to bedtime). Do not exceed daily dose unless instructed by a healthcare practitioner.

Caution
Do not use if

you are experiencing a sudden change in bowel habits that has persisted for more than 2 weeks, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, or failure to defaecate following the use of another laxative product
you have diabetes mellitus in which blood sugar is difficult to regulate
you have difficulty swallowing

you have symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever (as these could be signs of other serious conditions)
